Baptisms: If you would like to have your child Baptised in November, please collect a form from the Presbytery. Completed form must be returned to the Presbytery by 1st November. You are also required to attend two short meetings in the Hall from 7.00pm to 7.30pm on Friday 13th and 20th of November. Baptism will take place on Sunday 22nd November.

Musical Recital in Aid of St Christopher’s Hospice will take place in The Church of the Faithful Virgin, Central Hill, Upper Norwood Saturday 14th November at 7.00pm. Includes some Chopin Mazurkas for piano solo, the Vivaldi and Bach Double Violin concertos and a selection of Flamenco guitar pieces by Mario Basilisco/Jennifer Underhill – Violins, Anastasia Zemtsova – Piano and Mario Basilisco Snr. Flamenco Guitar. A retiring collection will be made at the end of the recital for the Hospice and there will be refreshments after the concert in the Upper Room.

Altar Server: If your child has made their First Communion and would like to be an Altar Server, there will be a series of training sessions starting on Sunday 29th November at 5pm in the Church.

St Chad's Social Club: Senior citizen's Christmas lunch, Sunday 13th December, 1pm-5.30pm. If you would like to attend then please put your name down on the list at the back of the church. If you need any more information then please ring Mary or Tessa.

First Communion June 2010: arents are now invited to complete a registration form for children in Year 3 or above. The forms are on green paper and can be found in the Church porch, completed forms should be returned to the Presbytery by Sunday 22nd November.

Christmas Bazaar: St Chad’s Christmas Bazaar is being held on Sunday 29 November 2009 in the Church Hall from 12.00pm till 4.00pm. Can you help in any way, are you creative, artistic? Can you bake? Can you donate any of the following items, new or newly new toys, books, non and alcoholic bottles, fancy biscuits, mince pies, toiletries, make up, perfume, aftershave – new only. Grand raffle tickets will be on sale shortly. Please contact chadspaf@hotmail.co.uk or telephone Moira O'Driscoll if you can help.

St Chad’s Social Club: Children’s Christmas party, Sunday 6th December, Church Hall. Names and money will be taken at all masses on the week-ends of the 14th & 21st November. There will be two parties held on that day. 12-2pm for Pre-school, Nursery, Reception, YR1 & 2, then 3-5.30pm for YR3/4/5 & 6. Please note that NO name will be taken after these dates and you must pay in advance when placing your booking. Tickets: Members child: £5.00, Non-members child: £6.

South London Citizens – Croydon Borough Team Meeting St Chad’s Church has recently become a member of South London Citizens. South London Citizens is an alliance of diverse organisations, committed to working together for the common good. What would you like to change in Croydon? Join other Croydon members to plan local action on Thursday 19th November at 7.30pm-9pm at St. Andrew’s Church Hall, Quadrant Road, Thornton Heath, CR7 7RD. All are welcome!
